Rotary Clubs are chartered by Rotary International and are established under a standard club constitution and by-laws agreed by the Club from time to time. The Club is governed by a Board of Directors who are responsible to ensure compliance with the constitution, by laws, local regulations and for good financial management of the Club funds - both administrative subscriptions from members and charitable donations and proceeds from fund raising activities.
The Board is chaired by a President who is elected annually for a 12 month term and serves on the Board as President Elect before assuming office. Other positions are rotated throughout the Club membership and incumbents usually stay on the Board for at least two years in succession to assist with balance and continuity.
